What is HAELO IO?

My client for this project has a long and varied background as a leader in different industries such as Space, Defence, Aerospace, Shipbuilding, Petrochemical, Construction and Manufacturing. In all of these fields, he noticed a common problem with large organisations — the presence of uncertainty. HAELO IO is a software platform that has been developed to establish controls, deliver results and respond to risk; each requiring access to quality data. It is a central hub that organsises a business or a project's tasks to increase certainty.

Simplicity is number one

Having planned the structure of numerous explainers for complex technology products, developing an understanding of HAELO IO's inner workings is familiar terrain. After a couple of sessions with Mick, chatting through his platform and seeing it in action, scampped storyboards were produced to set some foundations for HAELO's story.

As the structure came together, attention shifted to the visuals and it was clear they needed to be clean and simple to refect the ethos of what HAELO is about — from it's high level aims right down to it's GUI. Expanding on elements of the existing brand, all visual elements are borne from circles. Additionally, an array of small circles in the background move to the flow of an organisations rhythm. As the narrative touches on the difficulties an organisation faces we see the flow disrupted. Leaders can get stressed trying to overcome obscurity when viewing the status of a project so in essence we're visualising stress and frustration as well as the calm that HAELO promotes when things go right.

At the end the viewer is shown the dot array up close, with each dot representing a member of the team, and each member linked together to show how they rely on one another to move in harmony.
