Bringing motion to a traditional medium
Sterling Creative have been working with VELUX to produce their brochures for a while now. They were looking to innovate the brochures using online tech, and developed a more energised version by using FOLEON, an interactive content delivery platform. Sterling were pushing the limits of FOLEON with their creative thinking and asked me to add some bespoke animation that they couldn't achieve with FOLOEN's native toolsets.
Initially that meant creating animation sequences for iconography and graphics, but eventually developed into animating characters operating the different styles of VELUX windows. This felt like making a modern day flick book and was a rare opportunity for some character animation work.
